Survey Shows What Americans think of Companies, Technology and the Economy

Ipsos conducted research recently to know about what Americans think of companies, technology and the economy and the results found that most Americans think that the government should not punish companies because of their political stances. The research also found that most Americans think that tech companies should be responsible for removing any type of misleading content from the internet and they also said that having home ownership is an important part of the American dream (76%). The report was based on a survey of 1,085 US adults and it covered various topics related to business, politics, technology, health and the economy.

59% of the respondents, 60% Republicans as well as Democrats, said that the government should not take actions against companies with different social or political stances. On the other hand, 52% said that a corporation should stick by their stand on an issue even if it's making some people angry. 49% of the Republicans and 64% of the Democrats agreed with this statement. When the respondents were asked if they are likely to purchase from a company that has taken a public stand against racism, 40% agreed while 19% disagreed. 25% of those who agreed were Republicans, while 61% were Democrats. 48% of the respondents said that they had a good customer experience with federal services in the past year, with 45% Republicans and 59% Democrats agreeing.

39% of Americans also suggested that electric vehicles are better for the environment, with 58% saying that the government should make policies about reducing carbon emissions. 52% also said that the government should play a role in oversight of AI and 68% said that having technology deployed and manufactured in the US should be a national security priority.

Being surveyed about the economy, 42% of the respondents said that they do not have any money left after paying my bills, while 60% said that the government should play a role in keeping the mortgage low. Talking about cryptocurrency, most disagreed (43%) about cryptocurrency being a safer option.
