Facebook Allows Creators To Monetize Stories To Enhance Engagement on the App

Tech giant Meta is giving creators the chance to monetize their stories on the Facebook app.

The latest financial incentive is designed to get more people to use the app and share their content through it, including pictures and videos. The tech giant shared the great news this week, where creators who are a part of the platform’s Content Monetization initiative can make more money through people seeing their Stories.

Since the app already gives people the chance to share images and videos they post to their Stories, this can be a low-effort means to earn more funds through content shared on the Facebook app. The feature to earn more money through Stories is present to all around the globe.

However, it does come with a catch as it’s based mostly on performance. So you need to make it public if you’d like to make money off of it. Creators that are not a part of the platform’s Content Monetization initiative can submit applications if they’d like to be a part of this right now through the app’s website.

The latest financial incentive seems to be like a driving force to get more people to use Facebook instead of other arch rivals, including its own Instagram app. During this year’s start, we saw the firm debut another breakthrough bonus program. This gave creators up to $5,000 extra with existing presence on another app to post similar material to Meta’s platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Meta is being very selective in terms of timing too. It was clear that Facebook’s parent firm is keen on luring more people that might lose their access to TikTok after talks of a ban came into play. So far, the app is getting protection from Donald Trump’s administration, which is doing everything to stop the ban, including extensions in deadlines. Still, Meta wants to benefit from the endeavor as much as possible.
