New Amazon Shopping Feature Will Redirect Users To Different Brands’ Websites To Get Better Results

Amazon is carrying out a test for a very unique feature and we’re sure shopping lovers will adore the news.

The latest feature sent competitors into a frenzy when they found out that the online retail giant is going to give users the chance to be redirected to different businesses’ websites, in case the product they’re searching for is not available on Amazon.

Many are amazed at the radical strategy used for marketing and bettering its client sentiments. It also proved to the world why shoppers cannot get enough of the platform, making it the most popular online place to shop, thanks to features like these. Amazon says it’s got great faith in this new offering, considering the growing competition it has from fellow arch-rivals in the online shopping industry. This includes China’s Shein and Temu.

The retailer further adds how the feature is currently being rolled out as a beta test for the time being and will soon get activated for another subset of American users who carry out searches in the app. The latest experience will display selective products inside search results even if they aren’t selling them. This will link the retailer’s page so clients can explore more in terms of product variety, pricing, and the actual brand itself.

The information shown by the app is pulled directly from the competitor's website and keeps getting refreshed on a usual basis. The links rolled out to retailers externally will be displayed against other similar products found on Amazon’s store, such as those belonging to third parties. Amazon did confirm that it won’t be sharing any personal details about the users with the brand after they click on the link.

Once the link is pressed, users get notifications through pop-up alerts that notify them that they’re leaving the app. This way, they won’t be confused about the location of shopping. Moreover, some of the brands that Amazon is redirecting towards will offer subscriptions such as Buy and Prime. It’s a checkout feature that gives Prime members the ability to make transactions on different retailer’s pages through Amazon accounts and payment details.

The latest service offers Amazon Prime’s famous quick delivery, simple returns, and excellent client service and support. However, the company did make it very clear that it won’t be limited to just brands putting Buy with Prime on offer. Amazon couldn’t name all the brands in the test right now but retailers claim they will include a wide array of categories.

At the start, the feature would be limited to selected users on the iOS and Android versions of the app. They do hope to launch to more users and businesses depending on user feedback. So as you can see, everything is in the testing phase. Businesses are getting emails from Amazon to come and be a part of the experiment and also to those who wish to opt out of it. The fact that no data sharing of users will take place is a huge relief.
