Threads has another major milestone to celebrate and this time around, it’s crossed the 100 million daily active user mark.
The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg was quick to take to his account and share his company’s major milestone. Not only due to the high figure but also due to the fact that it has to do with daily users.
In recent times, Meta was very vocal about the matter and how Threads is really flourishing. It was directly related to competition heating up with arch-rival BlueSky. The latter celebrated its own success with 25 million users in total recently. And now, Zuckerberg is out to dim their shimmer some more by sharing Threads’ success.
Today, the app owned by Meta Platforms has more than 300 million monthly active users. We agree that the comparison cannot be done on the same level but hey, it’s quite evident that there’s no match and Threads is really so much bigger.
The company also managed to bring up demand for feature releases recently. This entails updates inspired by the likes of Bluesky’s customized feeds as well as curated account lists to follow. Meanwhile, Meta is also working hard in terms of testing its ability to select default feeds which is again another leading change. But wait, we hate to burst your bubble but Threads might be getting one step closer to featuring ads. And the change might come as early as the start of 2025.
