2024 is drawing to a close and right before the year ends, Google is sticking to its tradition of awarding the best apps and games on the Play Store.
The company just shared the winners for this year and the list features several apps and games worth a notice. The platform that stole hearts and made it big was Partiful which is used for producing, managing, and spreading event invites online. The fresh design and innovative twist in the world of invites gave it an edge. Meanwhile, the award for the best Game of this year was AFK Journey. It’s an exciting role-playing initiative that provides an array of characters that play it out on the battlefield.
Similar to 2023, Google also acknowledged the best multi-device platform and game. This went to Max, thanks to its cross-device continuity and expansive content library. Interestingly, Clash of Clans was given the award of the best multi-device game, despite being around for more than 10 years.
Google explains the reason for selection as its expansion into computers and Chromebooks which gave a lot of users the flexibility to use it across various platforms. While we did not see any mention of what users’ favorite apps and games were, there were several other categories as mentioned below.
