Google’s latest AI prototype found its way to the public, but it was not intentional.
A temporary leak showed many what Jarvis was capable of including how it could overtake your computer. Thanks to the arrival, even if it was temporary, on the Chrome Web Store, we got an up close and personal glimpse of its capabilities.
As reported by The Information recently, it’s not your average AI helper. Instead, it’s your next best companion that scans the internet via web browsers and handles all routine tasks. This might include purchasing groceries, booking flights, or simply researching topics.
The latest AI can take command of the PC to finish off the tasks simply without any sort of human intervention. It’s a prototype that arose across the browser’s extension store but it was not working at full capacity obviously. Some who did try to access it such as the reporter spoke about no access permission granted so that stopped it from performing tasks.
Google was quick to remove Jarvis by the middle afternoon hours. This was right ahead of the planned reveal that’s scheduled by the Android maker next month. It will also be facing competition from other arch-rivals of the industry like Claude AI from Anthropic. However, the latter is known to just carry out usual routine tasks and nothing more via the web browser. This includes typing, pressing buttons, or simply cursor movements.
