TikTok just dropped a new and useful delete and re-edit feature that is major news for content creators and social media managers.
This means gone are the days when users would have to delete an entire video if they wished to make edits. Now, users can use the same video and include their edits in that instead of starting from scratch.
Similarly, this is going to be so useful for those videos that may have been flagged for violating community guidelines and therefore were removed. If you’d like to repost that with new changes, that’s now also possible with the feature.
To do that, simply click on the three dots menu and press on DELETE Video. Now, two options are going to pop up for the user. One will be deleted and the other will be deleted and re-edited which was not possible in the past.
If and when you click and select the second option, it will simply delete the video and put it back into your Drafts section. Therefore, it might appear like you never posted that in the first place.
This is also great for those cases where the creator publishes a video and notices that after some time, it was not doing too well. Creators can always delete it and come back to the content to record new hooks. This keeps everything in the video the same and enables you to edit before giving it a second attempt.
As can be seen, this simply gives users a great way to recycle videos without any loss of effort and without the need to redo everything from scratch. This feature is massive and will be available to all users so stay tuned!
