YouTube Gives Creators Another Revenue Stream With Access To Its Courses Option

YouTube is certainly creator-friendly, thanks to its long list of revenue-generating options.

Now, the app is working hard to deliver more revenue stream opportunities by expanding access to the course option. At the same time, we’re hearing more about the app bettering the display of Featured Products for Live Shopping amongst other news.

For starters, creators are getting access to the course option that was rolled out in beta two years back. The feature gives creators the chance to provide free of cost or even paid programs through their channel on the app.

Creators can design their own specific offerings in the form of video education. This would be aligned with their channels and provide a great way to keep the audience engaged. Who wouldn’t say yes to the revenue that comes with it?

The app rolled out a statement on this front where it spoke about designated playlists as the course and how that will entail special badge features on their watch lists and search home, amongst a host of other destinations.

The app will also provide creators with the chance to include quizzes and link them to their content online. Furthermore, every course will entail a specific part which includes playlist comment sections where audiences engage with each other and more general topics related to the course.

After a viewer sees all of the videos linked to the course, they get a badge that is stored in the You tab. To get more details on the course like the length and how you’re progressing, viewers can also find that in the information panel.

Courses can be offered for free or with an additional fee, depending on the creator’s choice. The app did confirm how the offering is getting rolled out for all this week so they can benefit.

When it is rolled out in your part of the world, feel free to create a course through the app’s Studio and make the most of this great revenue-generating feature.

In other news, the app is also allowing Live Shopping for pinning several times on display in the stream. Any tagged offerings will get rotated each minute and that’s just another great way to highlight the offerings when carrying out a live session.

Last but not least, the app provides creators with the chance to include synthetic labels in video content when uploading on mobile phones. We did see the platform implement a set of new rules related to disclosing AI content and being more transparent.

During the launch, it was available to those uploading through the app’s Studio desktop but now, you can include tags when using your mobile devices.

YouTube also confirmed how creators publishing videos through the main app can also entail these tags when they’re getting uploaded. This makes sure more AI tags get included throughout the process. We can see these updates coming in handy for many creators.
