ChatGPT users have another reason to celebrate. OpenAI is rolling out a free tier for its DALL-E 3 image generator.
This means all ChatGPT users can produce two images per day for free through the DALL-E 3 model. When this was rolled out by the AI giant, only those having a premium subscription could use it. Now, that’s no longer the case as all can benefit.
The biggest improvement discussed for the AI image generator is the ability to produce pictures through prompts. This makes it all the more simpler to produce a picture.
As revealed in the latest demo, the team’s head showed how a simple prompt to ChatGPT could produce a logo for a mountain-based eatery in seconds. A longer prompt was produced by ChatGPT and that assisted the DALL-E model to come up with four different images.
As confirmed by OpenAI, the ability to produce images through DALL-E 3 is currently rolling out. However, some might have access to it as we speak. When you are done making two images, you’ll get an alert that says you’ve reached your image creation limit for today.
The news comes as the company just rolled out another safety assessment for the latest GPT-4o model. Similarly, they’ve shuffled the board to include a new person. And if that was not enough, the company’s head just got a letter demanding more clarity on its safety records.
The letter is from Democrat members of Congress who are very concerned about the future of AI and what role OpenAI is playing in ensuring users remain safe at all times.
