Survey Shows that Many Business Leaders Are in Favour of Using AI for Creativity

A study earlier found that AI can be used to boost creativity, but it can also decrease the originality of the content. However, many companies are still utilizing AI for creative purposes. A report from Harvard Business Review Analytic Services and Canva shows that 42% of business leaders believe generative AI can improve their organizations' creativity processes.

More than 500 business leaders were surveyed, and six out of ten respondents said that AI helps save time, allowing employees to work on tasks requiring more human creativity. Nearly 50% of respondents also said AI can help accelerate the idea generation process, while 48% believe AI can create good content with minimal human intervention.

The survey divided organizations into three categories: Laggards, Followers, and Leaders, to determine how they implement creative solutions. The results showed 22% were laggards, 56% were followers, and 22% were leaders who identified creative solutions. Among the leaders, 47% said they use generative AI tools to solve problems, while 30% of followers and 14% of laggards reported the same. Four in five business leaders have also used AI tools to create visual content, while some have used AI tools in Canva, Adobe, and Figma for minor editing. Even though AI can help with creativity, many brands avoid generative AI tools, fearing they will use another company’s marketing.
