Google Is Experimenting With A New Feature Which Will Show Country Label Next to Website In Search Results

Google is testing a new feature in its search result that shows which country a site belongs to along with its country label attached in the search snippet. This, as per Barry Schwartz, was first seen by Marguerite Smal who posted the screenshot in a Facebook group and then Top Click Media shared it on X.

The screenshot consists of a shopping website that operates in South Africa. Even though there was no mention of South Africa on the website, Google was able to locate the country and put the country label next to the search. We don’t know if Google is thinking about enrolling this feature permanently or not, but it will be interesting to see if Google labels the website according to its actual country or the country Google thinks the website is from.
