Some of the biggest names in the tech world have joined hands to establish a new coalition that promotes AI security.
The list includes tech giants Amazon, Intel, OpenAI, Google, Nvidia, and Microsoft who are uniting on this front to establish CoSAI as per a new report published yesterday.
The goal is to address all matters, especially concerns, linked to the fragmented AI landscape. This would be done by giving access to various methodologies that are open-sourced and include tools amongst other frameworks.
While it’s yet to be clear how huge of an impact this CoSAI would have regarding the AI world, issues regarding leaked confidential data and automated discrimination seem to be at the top of the list. These areas of concern and others related to users’ privacy and safety were always questionable from the start when AI was launched.
Other firms that would soon become a part of the coalition would entail Cisco, Anthropic, PayPal, and IBM. These would become an integral part of OASIS which is the name reserved for the non-profit establishment that markets the creation linked to open standards.
CoSAI is said to begin working on a trio of goals to begin with. This would entail establishing the best practices related to AI security, solving challenges linked to AI, and establishing the right AI apps too.
The VP of Google’s security rolled out a new statement on this front that spoke about how they’ve been using AI for so long and therefore see the great potential that has to do with defenders but seemingly also negates the chances for adversaries.
CoSAI will assist firms of all scales to safely and responsibly combine AI to leverage massive benefits when mitigating tasks.
