Revealed: The Surprising Website That's Beating Everyone on Google's People Also Ask Section!

In case you didn’t know what was dominating Google’s popular ‘People Also Ask’ feature then we’ve got news for you.

Wikipedia has snitched the top spot and it’s no surprise here as it’s already said to be the best source of data that many continue to rely on for answers.

The People Also Ask feature from Google is another name given to featured snippets and that’s where Wikipedia is trending and it all makes so much more sense right now.

After seeing the section for People Also Ask on Search, NewzDash data revealed how in the past month, 16% of all responses arose from Wikipedia. This was followed up by nasa.gov which is 2% and then Britannica stood at 1.7%. YouTube was next at 1.6%.

All of this data skews mostly to news pages and is across different sectors like sports, health, business, entertainment, and more.

Experts claim this is one feature from Google that not a lot of experts pay attention to but it’s certainly important in terms of SERP for News Publishers for a mighty three reasons.
Most of the websites ranking PAA modules are related to news publishers and therefore Wikipedia for sure is more related to news queries and entities.

Meanwhile, another very important feature is the interactive module which has to do with the fact that a single click on a certain query gives rise to two more. Last but not least, one study went on to read how 50% of all users that search are bound to interact with PAA.

So as you can see, the next time you come around this feature, be sure to give it a try.
