Surfshark recently conducted a study that tried to determine the value of internet connections in each state. They did this by first seeing maximum internet speeds and then comparing that to how affordable the internet connection was.
With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that New Jersey was at the top of the list, along with New York and Massachusetts. Each of these states offer broadband speeds of around 37 Mb/s, although New Jersey offers it at a cheaper price which makes it more valuable than might have been the case otherwise.
As for the states with the worst internet, they were largely centered around the American South. Mississippi came in dead last, with Arkansas coming at the third worst place. Wyoming had the second worst internet in the entire US, which makes sense considering it is also the least populated. In spite of the fact that this is the case, Mississippi has a relatively large population which makes its lack of adequate internet quite concerning with all things having been considered and taken into account.
All in all, the Northeast region of the US seems to be the best place for internet. Remote workers might flock there because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing them to get their work done without any disruptions caused by internet connections.
