One thing that marketers have become painfully aware of this past year is that they need to be able to adapt to the new normal. With AI chatbots like ChatGPT creating a massive paradigm shift in the industry, marketers have been forced to come with innovative techniques with all things having been considered and taken into account.
SemRush conducted a survey that revealed some insights into the organic marketing methods that marketers have been preferring these days. According to the findings in this survey, it appears that sharing content on social media tends to be more popular. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that 56% of marketers said that they used this method quite often, which makes it the only technique that was preferred by a majority of those surveyed.
Optimizing content in order to make it more likely to pop up in a search engine’s results page than might have been the case otherwise is also useful. It is used by as many as 32% of marketers, which made it the second most popular technique of all. 26% of marketers liked to use Facebook groups as well, and a further 25% said that PR or media relations in other words was a top priority for them.
This survey also dove deep into the factors that marketers take into consideration when determining their overall level of success. 47% of marketers said that they like to do a bit of research regarding their target audiences because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing them to get far better results.
46% also said that their success was largely contingent on search engine optimization. That just goes to show that marketers often need to put a lot of prep work into creating newer and better marketing campaigns. Organic reach is quickly starting to become more important than anything else we have seen before, and that is leading to a shift in the industry. This shift is likely going to become all the more pronounced in coming years.
