Mr. Beast is one of today’s leading YouTubers with a massive fan following of 105 million. And right now, he’s making the headlines for refusing a mega $1 billion deal that would involve selling his entire empire.
Jimmy Donaldson, AKA Mr. Beast revealed the shocking news via a podcast. This is where he went public about how any offer less than a value of $10 billion wouldn’t be looked at because that’s the least amount he thinks he deserves.
The offer wanted his whole business empire and that included his mega YouTube channel with followers. And as you can imagine, the podcast’s host, Andrew Schulz was in shock as was everyone else. For him, it was a shock that Donaldson wasn’t provided with the biggest pay cheque in history.
But Mr. Beast says he has been offered plenty but not anything yet that tickled his fancy. He also mentioned that a billion dollars was again too less for the stuff he owns and it wouldn’t be something he’d like to give a second thought.
At the moment, the 24-year-old preferred to keep his mouth shut and not get into who exactly was the person that made the offering. But according to him, it was 100% legitimate.
More questions were thrown Mr. Beast’s way in terms of what offers would tickle his fancy. But he adds that right now, his business world is where he would like it to be. He’s got plenty of opportunities taking place right now and they’re all going well for him.
From his business ventures like food chains for desserts to his online gaming firm for mobiles, he’s really making some big cash. Hence, he’s invested in a lot and they’re getting him some major returns. Therefore, a billion-dollar deal is the last of his concerns.
He even revealed how in August of this year, he hoped to hire a new developer to get some apps going in his favor across both the iOS and Android platforms.
For those who aren’t aware, this man is one of the biggest YouTubers in the world. The insane stunts that get him the most views are linked to transforming his yard into an entire ball pit. And then there are giveaways where people are granted a staggering among of money in millions but only providing one minute for it to be spent.
Some giveaways aren’t even cash related. They’re linked to luxe residences, sports cars, and whatnot. However, the price of fame came at a cost. He’s got some pretty negative publicity in recent times.
A new report by the New York Times branded his business empire as one to be the most hostile environment that a worker could ever work in. This includes how he altered in terms of personality when the camera wasn’t focused on him.
Just to give an idea of how much his fame is, well, in 2020, he opened up a burger joint. And in just three months, he sold near to a million sandwiches in just a few months.
Two years down the line, he’s got his own physical eatery in the form of Mr. Beast Burget at New Jersey’s American Dream Mall. And to attend that opening, thousands were seen camping out, just to get a bite of the burger and be included in the historic event’s launch.
So as you can see, the ideas and opportunities to conduct business are plenty and he’s definitely a leader in that regard. Therefore, it makes sense as to why he’d be a little hesitant or standoffish with just a billion-dollar deal coming his way.
