Twitter shares the new data regarding the gaming conversations happening by means of tweet.
Gaming has become a key pillar for this generation. Especially during the difficult times of COVID-19, the majority of people came under the influence of gaming now more than ever. During the first quarter of 2022, Twitter analyzed the chatter regarding gaming on its respective platform. It revealed a shocking result and as per this result, around 800 million tweets were made about gaming on this social media platform. Twitter claims that these tweets were made by 48 million unique users, with an increase of 12 percent year over year and around 7 percent from the fourth quarter (Q4) 2021.As per the reports, the most favorite game of the year of Twitter’s gaming community was Genshin Impact, which was closely followed by Wordle and Ensemble stars. Other favorite games of this community include Apex legends, Sekai projects, and Final Fantasy. The elden ring, knives out, fate/grand order and Minecraft were also included in the list.
Rishi Chadha, the head of gaming and creator content partnerships has shared some insights into the gaming conversations that are taking place on twitter, these conversations include information or remarks on players, gaming teams, new data on the popular games and much more. It was revealed that Japan was the country from where, most tweets about gaming were made, it was closely followed by the United States and Korea respectively.
Twitter authorities also revealed about the esports teams that most tweeted about on twitter. @FURIA was listed 10th on the list, while @TSM, @G2esports and @T1 were listed 9th, 8th and 7th on the list respectively and following closely @losgrandesgg, @KarmineCorp, @paiNGamingBR which scored 6th, 5th and 4th respectively. The 3rd on the list was @FNATIC closely following @FaZeClan which was 2nd most tweeted esports team. While @LOUDgg was the most tweeted about esports team.
It was indeed a proud moment for the twitter authorities, that despite what is going on in the gaming world, the people chose twitter to give their remarks on the gaming industry.
