There has been a lot of hype building around the potential benefits of the metaverse, and while Meta’s forays into this field have been getting a bit of a mixed perception, business leaders and industry experts are still excited about where this new form of tech can go with all things having been considered and taken into account. A report that was recently published by Bright Data revealed a lot of details about what C-suite executives are thinking of in terms of the metaverse.
One of the most interesting pieces of information contained in this report is that 70% of high level executives in major corporations are interested in implementing the metaverse because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing them to branch out into other areas. Since so many major business owners and executives are looking to focus on the metaverse much more heavily in the near future, various aspects such as consumer security start to come into play.
With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that these C-suite executives all feel that more data is required if the metaverse is supposed to be launched smoothly. The vast majority of respondents to this survey, or 89% to be more precise, highlighted the necessity of acquiring more data on the metaverse, and respondents who already knew a fair bit about this new tech were more likely to understand the significance of that with their proportion rising as high as 96%.
72% of the executives that are interested in the metaverse want to explore its potential to create virtual markets. Whatever the case may be, 87% of them are looking to hire new people that can specialize in the field, and that also includes retraining their staff so that they can focus on the metaverse entirely. 90% of these respondents work in IT, so their feelings will definitely play a role in how the metaverse saga will play out in the subsequent decade as well as whether or not it will do all it is foreseen to.
