Any social media that currently has a large number of users should be a big part of the overall strategy that you are looking to implement in the coming year. However, some social media sites will be more beneficial from a marketing perspective than others, and Social Media Today recently conducted a poll on LinkedIn asking marketing experts what the most important social media platforms are in their point of view.
An interesting thing to note LinkedIn got the highest number of votes with 43% of the total, and that is definitely something to bear in mind since it indicates that LinkedIn has become a popular place for people to put up ads. With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that the platform that a poll is conducted on will always receiver more votes than other options due to inherent bias, which is why the second most voted platform may be the actual winner.
This is Instagram, and that should come as no surprise to anyone. Instagram got 28% of the votes while Facebook only got 4% which makes sense since the latter has become quite unpopular as of late even if the number of users that it has is a lot higher and is continuing to grow with all things having been considered and taken into account.
TikTok, on the other hand, got 19% of the vote. The social media platform is definitely trending these days, but the thing about it that makes it less ideal than Instagram is that it is not versatile enough from a marketing point of view. Hence, marketers are likely going to be focusing their efforts on Instagram for now, although this does not necessarily mean that Instagram is more effective only that marketers tend to prefer it these days. When the survey was conducted on Twitter the results were a bit different, A majority of 40.3 percent vote in favor of Instagram, 25.8% went for TikTok, 24.6% voted for LinkedIn and only 9.3% marketers said they will be putting more focus on Facebook in 2022.
