Google is one of the leading search engines in the world, and has always brought about some great features. This time about, the tech giant has introduced some massive but great visual changes to its search engine that we are sure will change not only the outlook of the main search, but also make it relatively easier to use.
To start off, Google is changing the look of how it displays its top stories. Previously the Top Stories were presented in a lost or carousel form, but after the new update it will now be presented be presented in grids. Minor and less relevant stories will be shown in a smaller grid in 2 X 2 frame, while bigger news or trending stories will be shown in bigger grids or cards. International news will be presented with seven stories together, while tech news will be limited to four stories in a grid simultaneously.
The arrangement of the top stories in the form of grid will assemble them in the order of what is more relevant or what is the trending topic in each category. The arrangement and categorization will be done by machine technology, which will arrange the stories based on the most trending topics online.
Followed by this, Google is changing the way it presents suggested video on the search screen. Currently the tech giant displays the suggested video in a large size, with the related text written below, however, according to the new test the new layout will have a smaller sized video on the top followed by the text written on the right hand side of the screen.
However, this feature is in its testing version and has not been confirmed by the tech giant as of yet. So there are chances that it may never make it to your search engine screens.
Lastly, the tech firm has some great news for advertisers online. The tech giant will soon be launching image extensions for desktops versions for all developers. This feature was previously available for mobile versions only, so if any developer is already using image extensions on mobiles, there advertisements will soon automatically start seeing extensions on the desktop versions too, once the feature rolls out.
Google has always introduced some great features for its users. Even if they were minor, they held some great value outcome. Hence we are sure that these three new features once and if released will be a huge hit among the public instantly. The tech giant is full of surprises and we are sure that we will be seeing some great features in the near future too.
