The F8 conference is held by Facebook every year for developers and other businessmen who make products and features for the platform. This conference was first held in 2007 and was held in San Francisco up to 2016 but latterly it was decided to move the location to Silicon Valley in San Jose in the year 2017. The founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg started this conference with a keynote speech. However, this conference was postponed due to the reasons of coronavirus due to which the gathering was not allowed according to the guidelines of health expert, so, this conference is once again returning on second of June. Therefore, Facebook has made a big announcement that it is bringing back the conference in June 2021. Facebook said in a blog post that it is giving a new name to this conference as F8 Refresh due to its newer and enlightened that the purpose of this conference is to celebrate, motivate, and to help the small developers to grow because they can give the platform a big boost.
What interesting about this conference is, this will not be held to invite developers from a particular region or country, rather, all the developers from the world are invited to join F8 Refresh and it will be live-streamed on Facebook for the developer’s page. Those developers who are interested to join this conference in order to get them updated, can sign up here to be informed when the registration process will open. This time, Mark Zuckerberg will not give the speech; instead, Papamiltiadis will give the keynote speech and it is expected that he will also announce the key updates about the platform which includes the new product tools for Instagram, Facebook, Oculus, and also for WhatsApp. Mark Zuckerberg may give the speech later. Facebook has planned to inform the developers about the challenges that it is facing about the moderation of the platform and the test of Facebook about AR and VR.
