Microsoft Windows 10 is updated and the new 20H2 is running on almost 30 percent of the Windows 10 devices and continuing to increase while the other versions are gradually slumping behind. The version 20H2 came in October 2020 and did not make a recognizable business in the first few months.
The AdDuplex monthly report of March 2021 reported that Till 26 march 2021, a total of 80 thousand personal computers were surveyed and, the data collected from 5 thousand Microsoft store apps that use AdDuplex SDKv.2 or newer version, and the results show that 20H2 is on the second most used version of Windows, while the version 2004 still holds the first position with 42.1 percent share.
The new version has a better HDR screening, video playback issues, IME compatibility mode, high memory usage, TCP shutdown due to HTTP Keep-Alive issue, RDP server connection, NIC fails, high memory usage while doing XSLT transform using MSXLM6, and the list goes on…
With the release of newer versions, other previous versions have started dropping apart from windows insider, which has increased from 0.3 percent to 0.5 percent in few months, the reason being the availability of the upcoming 21H1 version, better user interface, and ISOs, etc.
Windows 10 is preparing for another new version, 21H1, which is all set for "commercial pre-release validation," and currently being finalized, and is running in a beta channel on 0.5 percent of the windows 10 devices.
21H1 is not exclusively a new version rather it will come with improvements and updated technology, mainly the update process and service technology like multi-camera support for Windows Hello and improvement in performance for windows defender application guards, which were previously in the 20H2 versions. 21H1 is said to come out by April or May 2021.
And last but not the least, a new preview of Windows 10 has been released for Microsoft Dev Chanel, which is made for the developer community, and it has lots of new file explorer ions. Well, that is a lot of updates in a year hopefully we can expect many more updates from Microsoft in the future.
