WhatsApp is one of the worlds most renowned instant messaging applications and just like every other platform it keeps on adding new features to keep the public attention active. Three years ago WhatsApp introduced a feature called “Click to Chat”, which however did not go very popular among the public for some reasons.
The feature allows you to communicate with people whose number is not saved in your contacts and they can also send you messages, images and videos as well. All you need to do this is to know the person’s number or should have memorized it. Secondly you have to make sure they have an active WhatsApp account. This feature can also allow you to open your own contact to chat and send stuff.
Even though it is not popular among the general public, we will let you know how this feature works in case you ever need to use it.
To use this feature, you have to know the persons’ number that is not saved in your contacts and ensure they have a working WhatsApp. Two things we already made clear above. Then in order to open your personal chat you have to write a string of website that is https://wa.me/<number> where the <number> will include your own number in an international format i.e.: https://wa.me/+11223344445. After clicking on this URL WhatsApp will automatically lead you to your own chat and if it does not you can click continue and will be directed towards your own chat as well as allow you to communicate with an unsaved contact.
This feature may not be popular among the individual public but it is fairly helpful for businesses that want to communicate with their clients but don’t want to go through the hassle of saving every number.
Apart from this you can share notes and messages on your own number as well.
However, this must be noted that this entire process of “Click and Chat” is only available for individual chats and not from group chatting.
This feature may be of some importance to people but what you must know is that it will be a bit complicated for one to load it if you are not a tech savvy kind of person therefore people tend to usually prefer the normal way of chatting that is through saving numbers in their contacts.
