Further Evidence Comes to Light Suggesting Apple Will Offer 10X Zoom in Upcoming iPhones

Apple has often heavily invested in special features for its range of iPhones because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up allowing it to maintain its edge over the competition and ensure that it is able to keep its significant market share. One feature that certain industry professionals such as respected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo have been predicting is a periscope lens that would potentially offer iPhone users 10X zoom.

Another report has now been released, and it seems to confirm what Kuo has been saying. This report states, similar to what Kuo analyzed, that Apple has been ordering periscope lenses from SEMCO. This is a strong indicator that Apple is planning to add high level zooms to their iPhones in the near future. This report from The Elec is now the third of its kind that seems to be confirming this upcoming feature in iPhones, with the first coming from Kuo himself and Digitimes confirming this earlier this year.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that if this lens is rolled out it could mean a huge shift in the market. No one has even thought of incorporating lenses like this into their phones, and if Apple successfully manages to do this it could mean that iPhones might just end up containing one of the most powerful cameras in the world. iPhones are already a favorite of people that want to be able to focus on their artistic pursuits, and if this lens is incorporated into the mix this would lead to all kinds of further benefits that would make the iPhone an even more attractive option that might just end up blowing all of the competition out of the water.
