One new feature that is coming would be the Top Requests feature. This is something that would show you message requests from people you might have mutuals with or people who might be related to the field that you work in or the subjects you are interested in. You will now be getting more information about the senders of each message as well, a chronological order setting for all of the messages as well as an option that would allow you to filter obscene or offensive media out of any messages that you receive. It is high time that Twitter started cleaning up their message requests feature, and it is heartening to see it being done right now.
