According to the data, Scribble Rider from Voodoo was the most downloaded smartphone game globally. The game was downloaded nearly 44.6 million times across Google’s Play Store as well as Apple App Store. India accounted for 16.7 of the total downloads of this game and was the country with most installs of Scribble Rider during August. In comparison, the United States accounted for nearly 12% of total downloads.
Brain Wash was the second most downloaded game around the world. This game from SayGames recorded nearly 30 million installs during the period, and India accounted for the most number of downloads of this game as well. The country accounted for 17.2% of total installs of Brain Wash followed by the United States with more than 12% of the total downloads.
Moreover, Scribble Rider was not the only game from Voodoo which was listed among the top ten smartphone games by worldwide downloads for August of this year. Cube Surfer from Voodoo also ranked third in this list followed by the popular game, Subway Surfers from Sybo Games. Tie Dye from Crazy Labs, Log Thrower by Playgendary, My Talking Tom Friends from Outfit7, Fruit Clinic from Lion Studios, Among Us from Innersloth, and Garena Free Fire from Garena were also among the top-most downloaded games in the world during August of this year.
Discussing the top most downloaded smartphone games on iOS, Scribble Rider, Cube Surfer, Brain Wash, Subway Surfers, and Among US were the top five downloaded games. It is worth noting that Among Us is currently one of the gaming’s largest hits, and its month-over-month downloads increased by 661%. Although the game was released back in 2018, the recent success of this game is mainly driven by an increase in interest from creators on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.
