Apple Rolled Out iOS 14 Last Week, And 30% Users Have Already Installed The New iOS 14 On Their iPhones

Last week, Apple rolled out the new iOS 14, which comes with several new useful features. The latest iOS can be installed on iPhone 6s and newer models of iPhone, and it seems that users across the globe are rushing to download the new iOS 14. According to a report published by Mixpanel, a mobile analytics company, over 30% of users who were eligible for the latest iOS version have already installed iOS 14. It is also important to note that this adoption figure also includes iPadOS 14, the new operating system for iPad devices. The company rolled out the iPadOS 14 along with the iOS 14 last week. The new data indicate that the usage of apple's previous operating system, iOS 13, is decreasing. Furthermore, it also indicates that most smartphones upgraded to the latest operating system ran the iOS 13.

According to Mixpanel, over 20% of users upgraded to the iOS 13 operating system within the first week of its release. Apple rolled out iOS 13 last year. You should also note that the data provided by Mixpanel is not official since it measures the adoption of iOS on the basis of visits to sites and applications that uses its smartphone analytics SDKs. Furthermore, Apple has not yet provided any adoption data for its latest iOS 14 operating system.

With the launch of iOS 14, iPhone users are now finally able to add widgets to the Home Screen of their smartphones. This is perhaps the most significant addition to iPhones, and it might be one of the reasons for the higher adoption of iOS 14. Furthermore, these widgets are not interactive and only show information without allowing users to interact with any features. However, these new widgets are providing users with more customization options. The new iOS 14 also comes with several other features, including picture-in-picture clips, and iPhone users can now set third-party web browsers as their default browser. Moreover, you can also set a third-party email app as your default email application on the iPhone.

Overall, the widgets are the main highlight of this update, and it seems that iOS 14 is quite a successful update. However, it remains to be seen how this new operating system's adoption will change in the upcoming weeks. Usually, Apple releases its adoption numbers after one month of releasing its major update.
