Matt Navarra broke out this news on his Twitter account regarding Facebook update regarding group file. Matt Navarra is a social media consultant, tipster, and leaker. This new update will let the users search files more easily. A user can search files by name, last modified or alphabetically. Not only this, but a user can sort the files too. This new feature can be very beneficial in keeping the files sorted and handy. Before the update, it was very annoying to get to the desired file. But since the update has been rolled out, people are enjoying this handy way of reaching to files. This update has been rolled out for desktop users only.
The second news that Navarra shared is related to Facebook enabling badges for the groups. Building a community at Facebook through groups is been a trend for a while. Facebook has enabled badges in the group. These Badges play an important role by identifying the moderator and the admin of the group. Moreover, it has a broad range of badges on the list. For example, a group member who is very active in the group will get a badge of the Conversation Booster. Moreover, a member who has just joined the group will get a badge of New Member. It means giving a warm welcome to the new member.
This helps in increasing group engagement among the members. Every member becomes active when they want to earn a badge. This badge appears right after the name of the user. To find the badges (in classic layout), go to "Edit group settings" and then select Badges. Here you can enable or disable group badges for all members.
Facebook is the biggest social network, connecting people through its platform worldwide. It is an invention of a student of Harvard University, Mark Zuckerberg along with his fellows. It all started to keep the university group in touch. But later, due to modernizing technology, they expanded the membership worldwide. The above mentioned group updates were made to give a new experience to closely-connected communities and users.
