In 2019 Facebook announced a new tool that would allow users to transfer their photos directly to Google Photos. Facebook explained that the new tool is developed in accord with their partnership in the open-source Data Transfer Project.
The project includes the majority of the tech giants including Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Facebook. The aim of the protocol was to combine different sources for the usability of users. Facebook initially started with Google Photos and planned to make sharing of photos easier between Facebook and Google Photos.
Well now the renowned reverse engineering expert, Jane Manchun Wong discovered an additional protocol that would enable users to share Google Photos with Facebook Story Camera Gallery Picker. The tool is currently under test mode and no official statement from the company is available regarding its wide release.
