A decade ago YouTube took a step, #WithMe to bring people together and do things together. Now the platform is combining #WithMe with #StayHome to persuade people all around the world to maintain social distance during the coronavirus outbreak.
YouTube said its creators and community have educated and entertained people through “Cook With Me”, "Pack With Me", “SpeedClean With Me”, “Craft With Me”, “Paint with me”, “Jam With Me” and “Study With Me”. The platform is aiming to take this initiative a little ahead by bringing people together during the pandemic.
On Friday, YouTube released its first video featuring content creators like Rudy Mancuso, Vlogbrothers, The Body Coach TV and Yoga with Adriene to encourage people to stay at home and perform activities together.
The video will also be aired on TV on NBC this Sunday Morning during Meet the Press.
YouTube in collaboration with many stars made a number of public service messages to educate people to stay at home. The stars like Becky G, Emma Chamberlain, French Montana, Venus Williams, The Dolan Twins, Gordon Ramsey and Sebastian Yatra are part of this campaign.
The #StayHome channel of YouTube have PSAs and several #WithMe activities and other content to let people make the most of their time while staying at home and maintaining social distance.
