Facebook is the undisputed king of social media and that goes without a question. However, it owes a major part of its success to the users who have endorsed the social networking giant as a part of their everyday lives. To appease these users, Facebook often tests new designs and features to keep things on a roll. Well, today isn’t any different either.
According to social media consultant Matt Navarra and UI/UX designer Alex Mihăileanu, Facebook is reportedly working on a threaded comment layout. A sneak peek of the new design was shared by Alex on his Twitter account. From the looks of it, the (potential) upcoming layout will make the comment section more organized, making it easier on the eye to read different comment threads.
Additionally, selecting a particular thread to comment or reply on would become convenient as well.
It’s interesting to note that the new design is already being rolled out to some users, notably in France (perhaps for testing reasons).
Facebook users have mixed feeling when it comes to this layout. While many have praised the tech behemoth for presenting them with an organized comments section, others haven’t been impressed by it. Some people are also saying that Facebook has copied Reddit in this regard.
As of now, it isn’t known when this design will roll out to everyone. However, it shouldn’t be too long, considering the fact that a number of people already have access to it. Stay tuned for any potential updates in this story!
