This week Facebook announced the rollout of Facebook Pay exclusively for the US-based users. The new payment system will facilitate the users when buying products through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.
Prior to the official launch, Facebook explained the protocols of Pay in a newsroom post and said that the payment system will work across all services that fall under their flagship. The users can easily set up Facebook Pay manually for the available apps and update their settings and payment information from a single dashboard.
Facebook also assured the users that real-time customer support via live chat in the USA is available at all times for the users.
Facebook Pay can be connected easily with a debit card or a PayPal account. Designated Pin code or a face ID can be used to unlock the payment getaway.
As of now, Facebook Pay is only available to pay for fundraisers, in-game purchases, event tickets, person-to-person payments, purchases from select Pages using Facebook Checkout and the businesses listed on the social media network’s Marketplace. The company hopes to expand the same for the global audience to use across all its platforms including Instagram and WhatsApp.
Facebook is also becoming more careful to ensure that all safety measures are followed by Facebook Pay. Click here to find out more about Facebook Pay.
