Digital advertising in USA has achieved new milestones by reaching the highest half-year spending, making $57.9 billion, according to IAB report. In the second quarter, the total ad spending has been $29.9 billion, out of which 69 percent was only from mobile ads.
In the first and especially second quarter of the year, video advertising has taken the internet by storm. In video content, an increase of 36 percent year-over-year has been noticed and the Q2 annual growth rate was 16.7 percent. It means the videos have grown at double rate when compared to the other segments.
There has been a continuous growth in Q2, but it was a bit slower in Q1 2019. From 2017 to 2018, the growth rate has been 23 percent, whereas from 2018 to 2019 an increase of 16.9 percent was seen, which is a little slower growth rate overall.
The most growth had been in mobile ads, especially in the video format. With the improvements in 5G, it is expected that the mobile’s importance will grow, as of the video.
