2: It has an Inbox, which is very much alike Instagram’s direct messages, but it is only for your close friends. You can also initiate group chats with your close friends on Threads.
3: It also comes with a status screen just like Facebook, WhatsApp, and many others. If you want to create a status, you can simply click on an emoji, type some words then choose from the pre-populated statuses by Instagram. One important thing to note here is that you can choose the time of your status’s visibility.
Another aspect of this status screen is that you can opt for the “auto status” that will refresh your status without having you update it manually every time. It might sound unsafe to many people but Instagram does not extract the location of the user.
As Facebook has already seen much criticism, it would not want Thread to go through the same.
