According to App Researcher Jane Manchun Wong, testing for the new button is already in the works for Instagram for Android and it shall be added to the profile section.
The button in question will most likely be represented by a “+” button with the label “new” attached with it. Once the button is clicked/tapped on, the option to create different kinds of content i.e. Feed Post, Story and IGTV video shall pop up.
Although it might be new to Android, a number of iOS users have claimed that they already have the button available for months now. If you are an iOS user, feel free to verify this claim.
