WhatsApp has recently submitted a new update for their beta version of Android – bringing the latest up to 2.19.260.
According to a teardown report published on WABetainfo, the new version will include a “Hide Muted Status Update” feature. The feature was spotted a few months ago and now it is being preceded to the ‘testing’ phase.
As the name implies, the new hide muted status update will allow the users to completely hide the muted updates from the WhatsApp Status tab. Currently, the messaging network shows the muted status updates at the end of the scroll. However, with the new update, the list of hidden status contacts will be fully invisible.
Of course, to experience the feature, you have to be part of the Google Play Beta Program. You can also download the latest version of the same via APK Mirror.
WhatsApp, along with Facebook is also working on ways to implement Facebook Pay to its services. In fact, the users testing out the new beta version can experience the first of it where it offers some references related to payments made to Mexico.
As of writing this post, we have limited information regarding the integration of Facebook Pay with the WhatsApp beta version 2.19.260. But stay tuned with us and we will update as soon as we receive more data.
