Chrome iOS App to Get Credit Card Scanner

People that use Google Chrome on Android devices have probably already used the credit card scanner that basically works like an autocomplete function and enables you to make credit card payments online without having to pull your card out every single time. The fact of the matter is that while Android users have been enjoying this convenience for quite some time now, people that were using Google Chrome on an iPhone were not given the same kind of feature, but it seems like all of that is about to change.

According to a Commit, The credit card scanner that iOS users will be getting for Google Chrome will basically be a version of a QR scanner that will see all of the relevant details on your card and fill it out for you on the form that you are using to purchase your desired item.

While the current estimated time of arrival for this feature is unknown at this point in time, eCommerce sites and a wide variety of other service providers that accept payments via credit card would be scrambling to make their sites workable with this feature and to add compatibility to it so that no issues end up arising at any point in the future.

There are a few security concerns that people are going to have, but chances are that when Google properly announces this feature and rolls it out to the various iOS users that are out there, they will roll out an improved support for security features as well which should prevent any issues of this nature from occurring.
