WhatsApp is one of the top messenger app used globally by 1.5 billion users. After Facebook brought WhatsApp, it has incorporated its vision of innovation by continuously updating and offering new features. WhatsApp was rumored to work on introducing a new functionality called picture-in-picture mode. The basic purpose of introducing this mode was to address the complaints and problems of users who juggle between multiple apps. It is a common knowledge that with mobile phone most of us jump from one app to another. Moreover, most of us have special preferences for using messenger and social media networking apps when it comes to communicating with different people or communicating for a different purpose. Users were continuously suggesting an update where they can play a video in the background without getting disturbed when they chose to switch between different apps. According to WABetaInfo, a new update will soon be available for the Android users however, iOS users might have to wait a little longer for the update.

What Is the Purpose?
The main aim of this feature is to help the user watch a video or listen to the song as they switch from one app to another. In short, this feature will help users keep the video playing in the background without closing it every time they open another app. This will specifically benefit people who received links to various YouTube videos and songs on WhatsApp. Now they can play videos and still switch between various apps.Who Will Have Access?

WhatsApp is now currently working on another update to help the users avoid sending the wrong message to other contacts. Most of the users were reportedly complaining about sending messages to wrong contacts and so, WhatsApp addressed this issue by introducing a feature where the user will not only have display picture but also the name of the sender.
