A new update on WhatsApp beta for Android has been introduced, on the latest version 2.19.151. There is no new feature involved and mainly bugs have been fixed to improve the performance. But two new developments have gone unnoticed.
The company previously announced two features; Share to Facebook and QR code on the instant chat messenger. The latest update includes these unreleased features as well.
As the name suggests, “Share to Facebook” is a feature that will let users share their WhatsApp stories on Facebook. An option “Add to Facebook Story” will be seen in the Status tab of WhatsApp and clicking it will lead users to Facebook and share the story on their profiles.
QR feature in the latest update will let WhatsApp users share their QR codes to add contacts, making messaging easier.
These features are in their early stage for now and not available even for beta testers. Company is testing these internally and after they will be fully developed, they will be first released for beta testers and later to the general public.
