After the initial launch in the US region, Facebook has decided to introduce its Portal video chat devices in other countries as well. The normal Portal and Portal+ will be available in Canada from June and then expending over to other European countries this fall.
In addition, Facebook has also included WhatsApp to Portal along with end-to-end encryption for video and audio calls.
In the near future, a mobile app will let you send your photos directly from the device’s camera roll to Superframe. This may not a strong selling point for Portal but would be of great help for some users.

"You’ll be able to call any of your friends who use WhatsApp — or Messenger — on their Portal, or on their phone.", announced Facebook.Portal is also expected to work as a better photo frame, allowing you to add your pictures for Superframe mode from Instagram instead of Facebook only.
