In an attempt to make Instagram more appealing to the business users, the platform is rolling out a new way to display local businesses with in-app profile pages.
The pages look similar to Google’s local knowledge panels and will display the business address, hours, contact information and website along with a link to it's Instagram’s profile.
The information about the business page will also show an option to “claim” the profile page. Users who have access to the Facebook page of the same business can claim the Instagram profile and edit inaccurate information.
