Many of the Facebook users have been anxiously waiting for the dark mode Messenger, after the F8 conference. For now, it has only been available in a few of the countries. If it is not available in your region yet, here is how android users can get hands on it. All you have to do is send moon emoji to get the dark mode messenger.
Send an emoji of the crescent moon 🌙 in a chat and tap through the popup menu that appears. There could be two options, either you have to double tap the moon emoji or else you might be required to restart the Messenger app and manually enable it from the settings. A warning will appear saying that dark mode feature is still in progress and is not yet available universally. The feature works smoothly in the app, except in the sub-sections of the settings menu.

Facebook has been trying to engage more users and retain the existing ones by introducing various features every now and then. Redesigned user Interface, message un-send feature, and expected infrastructure integration of Messenger, Whatsapp and Instagram are all ways to make social apps experience easier for the user and to gain their trust after privacy controversy.
