Twitter is going to be taking things up a notch by showing you previews of profiles on its iOS app. While this feature is currently only being tested out, it’s important to realize the enormous impact it could potentially end up having on the user experience, at least in terms of being able to see what a person is all about before you end up interacting with them. Overall, the test has been pretty successful because of the fact that it has seamlessly integrated the various aspects of the feature into the timeline. One of the best things about this feature is that it doesn’t take you away from the timeline at all. Instead, it shows you a card of sorts that would contain user details.
If you are part of the test that is going on right now, you would be able to access a profile preview by tapping on user handle. This will bring up a card upon which you would be able to see some of the details of their profile. You are also going to get options that would allow you to either follow or mute the user in question based on how you found their tweets.

You will be able to ascertain if people are trolling, if the tweets you are reading are coming from a bot or if the person whose tweets you are reading is an unsavory person that you don’t want to be associated with. The faster follow and mute feature is something that a lot of people are going to appreciate too.
