Social media consultant, Matt Navarra, has recently shared a screenshot of Facebook’s ad placement options on Twitter which clearly shows the inclusion of ‘Groups’ in the list to increase the outreach of the desired post to as many members of the relevant communities on Facebook as possible.

Nothing about this new feature has been confirmed by Facebook as of yet but it looks like that this would let public ads breach the privacy of restricted groups in order to boost the post to a large number of members in a group. Moreover, we are also waiting to see what sort of ads would Facebook allow to its users to run in groups.

The social networking giant truly understands the power of a group as this is not the first time that Facebook has come up with such an idea. Most of the users join a group either because it suits their interest or they prefer meeting new people with mutual likings online. Promoting an ad of user’s interests would then be a win-win situation for consumers and businesses both.
