The Pew Research Center recently surveyed the world’s biggest video database - YouTube and reported how internet users interact with the videos uploaded on the platform.
The research also analyzed the “Up next” section of the recommended videos and examined how this algorithm influenced the visitors.
Using a unique “random walk” methodology, Pew developed a list of 50 most recommended videos on YouTube. Their method included visiting random English-language channels with more than 250,000 subscribers and selecting the recommended videos five times each from these portals.
