If you are into making videos, YouTube must be your most desired places to make your mark, or at least, one of the top most desired places. This social network processes well over 3 billion searches every month. This makes it the second largest search engine on the internet. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for your videos posted on YouTube, hence, becomes a prime importance as it can help you get on the top search results on YouTube as well as on Google.
One example is the proper use of tags. YouTube recently rolled out this feature of segregating the videos according to the tags that these videos are put on with and if those tags coincide with the query searched. However, putting an unnecessarily large number of tags to improve your chances to appear on the search page can get you panelized by the company’s authorities for abusing this facility. Irrelevant tags are not appreciated or entertained on YouTube.
