Twitter introduces new updates for its messaging tool on the platform. With these new features, messages received will be divided into two categories, based on if they are from followers or not. If Tweeter receives a message from another Tweeter who does not fall into his/ her follower's list, then that text would be filtered out into the requests category. From there, the person might or might not read it. In fact, he/ she can open the message and then decide if he/she wants to further the discussion. Until and unless the individual chooses to accept the message request, the sender will not be notified regarding the message's read status.
Moreover, there is this newly introduced on-or-off toggle, which allows Twitter decide if a message is worth a receiver's attention or not. If turned on, Twitter would filter out worth less texts, without notifying the user.
