As much as it makes many roll their eyes, Pokémon Go was a TRUE phenomenon in 2017, annoying to business and property owners as it was. The fad showed us the power of augmented reality – technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world – to lead customers towards brands by gamifying real life. And the uptake was incredible.
