According to a Facebook blog post, nobody is now allowed to promote or advertise cryptocurrencies – including Bitcoin and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) – on Facebook.
The social platform has discouraged all crypto endorsements on Facebook in an attempt to inhibit all those people who are misleading the people. As a result, one of the crypto-geniuses James Altucher won’t be able to advertise on the biggest social media platform.
Facebook will take stern action against those violating the new policy and will also ban them from the company’s core app. Moreover, Facebook will also bar the violators from company’s sell ads which also includes Instagram and its different ad networks.
It hold significance to state that cryptocurrency has also led to scams besides making individuals millionaires. This is one step from Facebook to prevent people from getting tricked.
