Aweber, an email marketing firm surveyed 1.5K digital marketers and small business owners to find out who they are, how they market, their top marketing channels for ROI, what they'll be up to in 2014, and how many of them are ready to try something new? According to Aweber report, 47 out of 50 marketers consider that internet marketing is an essential tool for helping their business grow. 96 percent small business owners have 5 employees or less, and almost 9 out of 10 owners and CEOs serve as the primary marketer. Presently, 79 percent of marketers spend less than 2 hours per week on Twitter and 55 percent on Facebook. However, 76 percent are planning to increase the use of Facebook and 60 percent ready to ramp up Twitter. Surprisingly, only 3 out of 25 small businesses claim to be online marketing "pros" and only 20 percent of marketers are ready to try Vine, Instagram and Pinterest to market their business, in 2014.
